How to write a Hong Kong address
A Hong Kong address is written from the smallest unit to the largest, ending with the region. English is accepted for all local and international mail, and there is no postal code to add.

The postal code field
Hong Kong addresses carry no postal code. If a form will not submit without one, leave it blank or enter 999077, a widely used placeholder. See what 999077 means and whether Hong Kong has a postal code.
The state or province field
Hong Kong has no state or province. When a form requires one, enter your region, which is also the last line of your address: Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, or New Territories. If the form does not accept those, enter Hong Kong.
The phone number field
Hong Kong numbers have eight digits and the country calling code is +852. For an international form, write the number as +852 1234 5678.
Which region goes on the last line
Every district belongs to one of three regions. Use the region for your district as the final line of the address.

English or Chinese
Either language works. In Chinese the order is reversed, starting with Hong Kong and the region and ending with the flat. Do not mix the two orders in one address.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Adding a ZIP or postal code. Hong Kong has none. A made-up number can slow or misroute mail.
- Writing the region first in English. English runs smallest unit to largest; the region is the last line.
- Leaving out the district. Sorting depends on it, so always include the district.
- Using a Mainland China postal code. Mainland codes do not apply to Hong Kong.
