About the Macao address data

Sources

The parish list comes from the Macao Government Portal, and the address format from CTT Correios de Macau, the postal operator. There is no postal code dataset to cite, because Macao has never operated a postal code system. Every page carries its verification date.

Seven civil parishes across three zones: the Macau peninsula, Taipa and Coloane. Each name is given in English, Portuguese and Traditional Chinese, the three forms in daily use.

What we could not verify

We do not publish a street list per parish. Open street data for Macao exists under licences we have not cleared for commercial reuse, so rather than guess, the pages stay at parish level until a usable source is confirmed.

The number 999078 appears on third party databases as a Macao postal code. It is a China Post internal routing number, not something Macao Post publishes or uses. We say so on every page that mentions it, and we mark our confidence as medium because it rests on a single type of source.

Updates

The parish structure has been stable for decades and is unlikely to change often. We recheck the address format against CTT whenever the site is rebuilt.
